Agawam Mayor Richard Cohen Endorses
Nick Cocchi for Sheriff!
Mayor Richard Cohen of Agawam publicly endorsed Nick Cocchi to be the next Sheriff of Hampden County. “As the Mayor of Agawam, I am well aware of the need to have strong relationships between the Hampden County Sheriff’s Department and the 23 cities and towns of Hampden County. Nick Cocchi’s experience in public safety and his acute knowledge of how to work with our town and support our efforts in law enforcement make him the ideal candidate for this office,” said Mayor Cohen.
“For over two years now, Nick has advocated for the need to create a regional lock up facility. Nick knows this will aid our police efforts and help our officers get back on the streets quicker so they can continue to help our residents,” said Cohen. “Nick Cocchi is also the only candidate with the requisite experience to successfully attack the opioid epidemic plaguing our county. He understands the role the Sheriff’s Department can play in this effort and his plan to win this fight is second to none,” added the Mayor.
“I am so appreciative of the support of Mayor Cohen,” said Nick Cocchi. “Mayor Cohen’s energy, passion and commitment to his community make him the model of the modern day public servant. I am looking forward to working with him and the entire Town of Agawam as Sheriff,” said Cocchi.
Nick Cocchi is the current Deputy Superintendent of The Hampden County
